See Me Talk is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app designed for individuals facing challenges in effective communication, particularly children with speech delays. The app is rooted in a picture exchange system that facilitates communication development.

Developed by a Special Education Teacher with over 18 years of experience, in collaboration with Speech Pathologists and parents, See Me Talk addresses the need for an accessible and visually appealing communication tool. Additionally, the design was executed by Robots & Pencils, an award-winning company recognized for its expertise in iOS app creation, led by a parent of a child with speech delays.

The app combines aesthetics with functionality. Users can now access categories of symbols conveniently displayed on the screen, allowing visibility of nine categories at once without navigating through multiple folders. This streamlining enhances the user experience by eliminating unnecessary steps in the communication process.

A Favorites category enhances usability by tracking frequently used symbols, ensuring they are readily available with each launch of the app. Moreover, a robust search function allows users to quickly locate any symbol, significantly reducing the time spent searching through various categories.

While See Me Talk includes a foundational vocabulary of symbols, it also allows for customization through importing images from the iPad camera, library, or the internet.

The app features advanced voice technology, enabling users to select from male or female voices or opt for no voice at all to encourage speech development.

• Auto-display of the top eight frequently used cards upon launch streamlines usability.
• Simple deletion of symbols through swiping or tapping offers user control over their sentence strips.
